Charms Instructions & Passwords

Good Afternoon Patriot Band Families,

Here is all the information to access to our Charms system.  This online program helps the boosters and I keep track of inventory, communicate with families, and manage our finances.  We are giving you access today to some of the basic features.  Here is how you log into the system.

1.) Go to charmsoffice.com

2.) Select login in the top left corner

3.) Enter CousinoHSmusic as the school code under the parents/students/members section

4.) Type in the student password into the next box – passwords are found in the attached document (if you have not accessed it before)

5.)   You’re done!

It is worth noting that both the student and the parent have the same password, so make sure both parents and students have the password.  If you need more assistance logging on, here is a youtube video that can help you.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAvoR8CgCwg&t=1s

On this screen you will see a couple of important items – we will be looking at the large icons in the middle of your page, however all of these features are available at the top of your screen

CALENDAR – This is probably the best feature.  I have uploaded our band calendar into the system and you can see all details in calendar form.  At the bottom of each event there are icons; the most used on is the yellow hand.  That hand means we need volunteers and it will allow you to sign up right there.  If you see an RSVP icon, that means we have an optional activity that will require sign ups to determine if we can run the event.   You can always print this calendar, or even export it to your iCalendar if you use apple products, just click the arrow next to the month.

EVENT LIST – This is just another way to look at our band calendar, although in my opinion, it’s much messier.

VOLUNTEER – This is another way for parents to sign up to help at events. 

EMAIL STAFF – If you ever want to get into contact with me, but you lost my phone number and e-mail address after you dropped your phone in the pool, this is another way you can find that information

HANDOUTS & FILES –I will be placing important information in these files.  Any little slips that come home will be put in there, solo and ensemble order forms, fundraiser information, marching band music/drill, etc.  

RECORDING STUDIO – This will help us streamline how recordings, playing tests, and chair tests make it to me.  Whenever we have a playing tests, it will be sent through the recording studio.  This will allow us to do more with ease and with less class time!  J There is also an app that allows students to use the recording studio right on their phone.

UPDATE INFO/CHANGE PASSWORD – This is self-explanatory.  Please make sure you double check your info and change your password ASAP!

This program should really help use with managing our systems and communicating with families easier so that there is no  missed information.  If you have any questions, or if you need me to reset your password, please do not hesitate to contact me!
